TheraPro Method Level 1 provides massage therapists with a structured and evidence-informed approach to working with clients experiencing mild to moderate pain and injuries. This assessment course integrates foundational soft tissue mobilizations to create a comprehensive and progressive treatment plan for clients. Therapists will learn to assess movement dysfunctions and apply effective hands-on techniques like IASTM. This course is NCBTMB approved for 12 credit hours.

Course Location: CrossFit Central Houston, 1308 N 1st St, Bellaire, TX 77401

Course Date & Time: Saturday and Sunday, November 7th & 8th, 10 am to 5:30 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break each day

Required Materials:

  • Medium (oil preferably)

Recommended:

  • Massage Table

  • IASTM tools (Gua-sha, Scrapers, etc.)

    • There will be a limited quantity of on-site tools that therapists can use for the weekend

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

Registrants may cancel their enrollment by written notice. Please note:

  • Cancellations received 30 or more days before the seminar will receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee.

  • Cancellations received 7–29 days before the seminar will receive a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations received 7 days or fewer before the seminar are non-refundable.

  • No-shows are not eligible for refunds.

Registrations may be transferred to another individual up to 48 hours before the seminar for no additional charge.

If a documented medical or family emergency prevents attendance, TheraPro Development may issue a credit toward a future seminar at its discretion.

If TheraPro Development cancels or reschedules a seminar, participants may choose a full refund or transfer their registration to a future course. TheraPro Development is not responsible for travel, lodging, or other incidental expenses incurred by participants.

Upon completion of TheraPro Method Level 1, participants will be able to:

  1. Client Intake & Assessment:

    • Conduct a structured intake process to gather relevant client history.

    • Perform assessments to identify movement limitations.

  2. Hands-On Techniques:

    • Apply IASTM, passive, and active soft tissue mobilization techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.

    • Understand the contraindications and indications for each technique.

  3. Clinical Reasoning & Application:

    • Develop critical thinking skills to decide which techniques to apply based on assessment findings.

    • Create individualized treatment plans that integrate soft tissue work with self-care strategies.

  4. Professional Scope & Ethics:

    • Understand the limitations of massage therapy within the scope of practice.

    • Communicate effectively with clients about expectations, goals, and realistic outcomes.

Participants will be provided with digital copies of course materials. Participants should bring their own medium and are encouraged to bring their own table if they are local.
